The team facilitates marketing communication activities within CDU to ensure a unified brand style and compliance with advertising legislation. The team develops brand and recruitment communications strategies for the University, and can work with you to meet your specific objectives.

How to request advertisements

All CDU advertising must be requested through Marketing. We will assist you by:

  • Providing a cost estimate on the copy presented for placement
  • Advising on appropriate media selection, if required
  • Arranging for the preparation of artwork and sending a proof to you for approval
  • Booking the media and despatching the artwork.

To submit an advertising request, you will need to complete the Advertising Request form (doc 104KB) and email it to the Marketing team. All advertising requests require a week’s notice.



Our brand reflects everything we do as a university. It’s what ties together all our institutes, schools, colleges, and departments under the name Charles Darwin University.

Given the wide diversity of internal and external communications at CDU, we have developed brand guidelines to give you the tools you’ll need to take ownership of the CDU brand identity and apply to your area.

Social media

Social media plays a strong role in how people view the University. In a fast moving environment it can be hard to keep up to date with best practices. The Social Media team can guide you on how to manage this through your own channels, as well as promote your successes and key events through CDU’s main accounts.

The Publications team is responsible for coordinating the production of a collection of University publications including course guides and course flyers. The team’s core focus is publications assisting student recruitment, marketing the University, and ensuring CDU brand maintenance.

It’s important we have input into publications promoting CDU to ensure there is a consistency among all University publications and that branding guidelines are followed. If you plan to publish anything promoting CDU, please first contact the Publications team to see where we can help you. We will respond to your email within 5 working days.
