Charles Darwin University Alumni Scholarship
|
This year’s CDU Alumni Scholarship has been awarded to Amy McKay. Amy was awarded the scholarship for her exceptional community engagement activities and academic record. Amy’s volunteer commitments include:
Amy has lived in the Territory all her life and would like to make a difference to people’s lives at a time when they are most in need. She has chosen to study the Bachelor of Nursing (Pre Registration) at Charles Darwin University and broaden her experience gained at St Johns Ambulance. Amy graduated from O'Loughlin Catholic College last year. Amy is extremely grateful to be this year’s Charles Darwin University Alumni Scholarship recipient, as this assistance has reduced her university costs on fees and books and has reduced the number of hours that she needs to work in paid employment enabling her to concentrate more on her studies. Amy plans to continue her volunteer work with St Johns Ambulance and understands her work is not only beneficial to the community, but may also contribute to the understanding of her nursing studies. “It was such a surprise that I jumped up and down when I received the Alumni Scholarship. I was so happy and honoured to be this year’s recipient. I would like to thank the University and all of the members who have supported this scholarship”. Charles Darwin University Alumni appreciates your contribution and hopes you will support the Scholarship. |
