What is Alumni?
Alumni is a group of former pupils or students. Charles Darwin University's (CDU) Alumni has been set up to support and promote the interests of our graduates, and to foster an environment where members can contribute to the future of the University. The Alumni provides a professional and social connection for all people who have contributed to CDU, whether as a student, staff member or friend of the University or one of its predecessors.
Members of the Alumni are invited to attend CDU events throughout the year which provides an opportunity to catch up with friends and staff, and are also kept informed about new CDU initiatives. In addition, members are given access to a range of discount services.
Who can join?
We welcome current and former students, staff and friends of CDU or any of its antecedent institutions, e.g. Northern Territory University, Centralian College, Darwin Institute of Technology (DIT), University College of the Northern Territory (UCNT) and Darwin Community College (DCC). Friends of CDU include anyone that wishes to take an active role or participate in university correspondence or has an interest in the University. Membership is free.
Graduates will be given an invitation at the graduation ceremony to become members of the Charles Darwin University Alumni. In actual fact graduates are automatic members of Alumni for two years after graduation, though they have the opportunity to become inactive members if they wish. If graduates want to become inactive members, they will not receive any correspondence from Alumni. Members who formally apply receive an Alumni membership card, membership discounts and services.
How to join?
Simply fill in the online registration or contact the Alumni officer on 08 8946 6554. An application form will be sent to your address. Registration forms can also be found at the Alumni office, Foundation and Alumni, Charles Darwin University, Casuarina Campus, NT 0909.
