Attention: CDU Lecturers & School Administrators

• Please complete your text list at Text Book Advice Form.
• You are welcome to drop in, phone or email us for information on current editions, title availability, price and delivery dates. To confirm we have received and actioned your text advice please check the unit code through Online Ordering or email us.
• When  you list set text on Learnline you are not advising the bookshop of prescribed or recommended textbooks.  Please complete the Text Book Advice Form as well.  Learnline is not available to students (or bookshop staff) until the beginning of semester - far too late for us and students to be advised of set text books.
• Lecturers please submit a text advice for each unit, each semester, to ensure your text book is available to students. 
• Unadopted textbooks will be returned to suppliers at the end of each semester.
• Text Advice for Semester 2, 2011 are due 28/10/2011   (because sea-freight orders have a lead time of 90 days)
• Late text orders incur freight & small-order surcharges which the bookshop must pass on to students.
• The current textbook list in On-line Ordering is Semester 1, 2012.
• 2nd hand buyback list for Semester 1, 2012  now available - only textbooks listed on textlists provided by the due date - 28/10/2011 - can appear in the buyback list.

Terms and conditions - Sales

• CDU Bookshop credit accounts can only be considered for trade customers where a purchase order is provided for every order and credit accounts have been approved.  Please complete the account application form.
• INITIAL ORDERS
  Initial orders will require a cash/cheque/credit card payment before despatch.
• DISCOUNTS
  Bulk order discounts (5+ copies of each title)           10% discount plus freight.

  PAYMENT
  All invoices are to be paid within 30 days of date of invoice.

Refund of money will only be provided where books or other items purchased are:

• Defective or faulty, or
• Fail to match the description

Credit Notes will be considered under the following circumstances:

• Withdrawal from a course of study
• Incorrect book purchased for a course
• Exemption granted from a course

• The sales receipt is provided for proof of purchase
• Return goods are in mint condition

• After 1 April for Semester 1
• After 1 September for Semester 2
• After 8 October for Semester 3
• After 7 December for Summer Semester

Credit Notes for general books will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

• Information on titles, prices and editions for textbooks prescribed or recommended for Charles Darwin University units may change without notice.
• Textbook data is updated as information comes to hand from CDU. Some units may not have set textbooks so no data will be provided.
• Please consult your lecturer if you are unsure about the need for purchasing a textbook.
• On-line textbook information and ordering for Summer Semester 2011 is now available.

Domestic freight is by Australia Post Express Post Bag, Australia Post Prepaid Bag or Australia Post Parcel.

• Orders under 500grams - $9.00
• Orders 500 grams to 3kg - $12.00
• Orders 3kg to 5kg - $24.00
• Orders 5kg to 8kg - $36.00
• Orders 8kg to 10kg - $40.00
• Orders over 10kg - $45.00

$3.00 optional insurance to cover parcels lost in the mail - please request this service when ordering on line by typing INSURANCE in keywords and selecting the $3.00 Insurance item.

If you purchase INSURANCE CDU Bookshop will replace lost parcels if not delivered after 15 working days from date of despatch. If we do not have replacement stock available CDU Bookshop will refund purchase price of lost books.

Prior to the start of each semester a list of buyback text books will be displayed on the CDU Bookshop website and in the Bookshop. Students can sell their books to the Bookshop during this specified buyback period. 

Buyback textbooks will be current text books set by CDU lecturers for the following Semester and sold previously by CDU Bookshop.   They will not include text packs, or texts with CDs and/or passwords. Current buy back list and guidelines.
