Personal and professional development courses

Charles Darwin University offers a range of short courses to further your personal and professional development. Our Personal and Professional Development Courses range from a few hours to several days in length and depending on the course are run on weekdays, at weekends, or in the evenings.

The diverse range of short courses are offered throughout the year at Charles Darwin University campuses and centres across the Northern Territory and include general interest and personal development courses, professional education courses and customised corporate training. The majority of these are non-award courses and do not form part of a degree program, a Statement of Attendance will be available to participants on request. For those courses, which are nationally recognised training courses, details of the qualification or competency obtainable will be included in the course outline.

Enrolment is open to anyone over the age of 16 and no special qualifications are necessary for entry.

Enquiries relating to customised corporate training and general enquiries should be directed to BusinessLink on 08 8946 6065. Please see course information below for enquiries relating to individual courses.

Discovering tropical birds

6-11 October

Have you always wanted to view nature at its best? Now is the time to do it with the unique Discovering Tropical Birds program.

This six day program combines study and travel to provide visitors to the Northern Territory and bird enthusiasts alike, the opportunity to experience and learn more about birds and other wildlife of the monsoon tropics. The Top End is a birdwatcher's paradise, boasting almost half of the bird species found in Australia and many that occur only in the tropics.

A two day package (days one and two) is also available and includes the theory component to learn about the birds of the monsoon tropics and also experience the local birding around Darwin up close.
