CDU/AIM Short Courses
Terms and conditions for enrolments
Registration and fees
All bookings received are considered firm bookings. Course fees are payable in advance and payments will be processed upon receipt of enrolment. All enrolments will be acknowledged in writing.
Please choose carefully. Once processed, your course fee will not be fully refunded if you change your mind or your circumstances change. Transfers to other courses can be arranged upon request.
Transfer fees (where applicable) are payable immediately upon request. Cancellation fees will be deducted from the refunded fees.
Invoices (where applicable) will be issued in accordance with our Terms and Conditions where participants transfer, cancel or do not attend a course.
Transfers by participant
One transfer to another course will be accepted without charge where CDU Short Courses has been notified in writing at least ten working days prior to scheduled commencement date. All subsequent course transfers with at least ten working days’ notice will attract an administration charge of $55 (incl. GST).
Course transfers requested in under ten working days of course date will attract the same fee as applies to cancellations. Please see table below.

Name substitutions in same course
Substitute participants are accepted at any stage up to one day prior to the course, and must be made in writing. Substitutions on the day of the course are at the discretion of the University.
Illness
Where a participant is ill on the day of a course, and notifies us that day, fees will be refunded or a transfer offered upon production of a doctor’s certificate.
Where a participant leaves a course due to illness, upon production of a doctor’s certificate, they will be offered a place in a subsequent course of the same name if available. Partial refunds will not be offered.
Cancellation by CDU
All Short Courses are subject to minimum enrolments and may be cancelled at short notice if insufficient enrolments are received. If we cancel your course you will be notified and offered your choice of transferring to a future course date or another course (no transfer charge) or a refund of your fees in full.
Payment types
Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Diners, cheque or money order. Cheques are to be made payable to Charles Darwin University and posted to:CDU Short Courses, Charles Darwin University, Darwin, NT, 0909
Organisations enrolling two or more employees on a course can be issued with an invoice upon provision of a purchase order.
Public holidays
We do not run courses on public holidays. If in doubt please phone 8946 6065.
Student visas
International student visas can not be granted for short courses.
