Director Remote Coordination - Paul Fitzsimons

Paul Fitzsimons is the director of remote coordination, supporting course delivery from Alice Springs, Yulara, Nhulunbuy, Jabiru, Tennant Creek, Palmerston and Katherine.

Paul has a strong educational background in the Northern Territory, having worked in primary, secondary, special education, post-secondary and vocational education and training sectors.

He comes to CDU from the Department of Employment, Education and Training, where he was the coordinator of alternative education programs in the NT.

Paul also has publishing and media experience and is a respected weekend sports commentator on ABC Territory Radio.

His connection with CDU dates back to 2000, when he conducted language, literacy and numeracy programs sponsored by the Department of Education, Science and Training through the University until 2003.

As part of the Community and Access team, Paul said one of his priorities would be enhancing links with the community and understanding their needs better so CDU programs reflect community and industry needs.
