Nhulunbuy campus
Charles Darwin University offers vocational education and training (VET) courses from certificate through to diploma level at Nhulunbuy. Subject areas include business and office administration, information technology, children's services, training and assessment, engineering, and numeracy and literacy.
Classes are run from the joint DEET/CDU Nhulunbuy Training Centre. The training centre has computer laboratories, a conference room, a workshop equipped for metal fabrication and automotive modules and an open learning centre, with computers and internet access for enrolled students. There is also a student lounge in the complex.

As the town is on Aboriginal land, any visitor wishing to leave the town's environs will need a permit from either the Northern Land Council or Dhimurru Land Management (08 8987 3992).
