About the Nhulunbuy area

The East Arnhem Land region is one of the last wilderness areas on earth, yet all services can be found in the town of Nhulunbuy.

The township of Nhulunbuy is approximately 750 km by road from Katherine. It is home to approx. 4000 people making it the Northern Territory's fourth largest town. However, the entire Arnhem Land region has a population of about 20,000 people.

Nhulunbuy is a major service centre for the mining operations and is the administrative and commercial centre for the East Arnhem Region.
