Job description (specific duties):
Learning to configure, program, install, and maintain a variety of Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems, including cable and RF networked PC hardware, scanning equipment, Portable Data Entry terminals (PDE), CCTV, and retail security systems. Provide technical support, operator training and software support for POS operating systems. The job, involves repairs and maintenance in the workshop, on-site call outs and travel to remote locations as necessary.
Special job requirements (eg – skills, experience):
Graduation from high school, supplemented by technical or university course education in information systems and operating applications will be an advantage. Must have above average reading and neat writing skills. Capability to use a multi-meter, read schematics and carry out component repairs and replacement, would be an advantage. Must have good technical and mechanical abilities, good work ethics, desirable social skills and good manners.
Willingness and ability to work hard and learn the required skills need in this specialized field. Regular performance test will be conducted on a scheduled progress basis. Must be prepared to work overtime and outside regular work hours, to respond to after-hours emergency service calls as directed. Must have NT Drivers License and satisfactory driving record.
Three month probation period and confidentially agreement applies.
Drivers licence and own transport are required. The wage will be award plus super and work conditions as per normal entitlements.
