Creative Tropical City

“creative people in a creative place”

  • If you had the chance to really make a difference what would you do?

If you were given the keys to the city and the simple instruction make this an even better place to live, how would you respond?

But you don’t need to wait for somebody to give you permission to start making this a better place, you just need the bright idea, the will and courage to act on it, and most of all the persistence to see it through. Imagine if a large group of citizens just like you got together, just think of what you could accomplish.

  • Where would you start?

There aren’t many people living in Darwin today who don’t think it is a top place to live and there are the surveys to prove it. This city consistently rates itself as one of the best places to live in the country. One reason for that is it has never been complacent about quality of life issues. No reader of local newspapers could fail to notice just how strongly Darwinians feel about this city and how certain they are of just what makes it great.

  • How can we harness this energy and give direction to this passion?

There are no easy answers to any of these questions, nor are there simple solutions to any of the problems or difficulties that might be encountered along the way. People who really care about where they live know this and enjoy the challenge of putting their ingenuity to work.

This symposium brings together an exciting range of local, national and international speakers to challenge us all to think and act creatively to ensure that Darwin remains a top place to live.

  • This is a symposium about change.
  • This is a symposium about people working together.
  • This is a symposium about being inspired by place.
