This 2009 book covers the life of Darwin from birth to death, his family, friends, books, and significance to Western thought. In 1990 Professor Berra authored the book Evolution and the Myth of Creationism, which explains the theory of evolution to the general reader and demonstrates why creationism is not science. Berra is also the author of A Natural History of Australia (1998) and Freshwater Fish Distribution (2007).

He is a Research Associate of the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
