Testimonials

"I am Patrick Mossongo a qualified engineer, from Congo. I came to Australia last year with a little of English writing experience.

From my own experience, the advantages of studying Certificate IV are many. First, you will improve your grammar. Secondly, you will probably learn how to write an academic report. You will learn and become able to listen and take notes. Then you will learn how to organise notes for presentations. Finally, you will learn how to write an essay supported with references.

I recommend those who are willing to further their education and those who want to maintain a good English language writing style to join the Certificate IV in Spoken and Written English at Charles Darwin University."

~ Patrick Mossongo

"In Ethiopia, I studied Midwifery and worked in a hospital for eight years. But after I moved to Australia it was hard to continue working as a Midwife because my qualification was not recognised in Australia and my English language skills was also not good.

After I arrived in Darwin I have enrolled for English classes which have helped me well to improve my speaking, listening and writing skills. Especially certificate IV in spoken and written English has helped me very well because I have learned many things during this course. For example, I have learned how to write an academic essay, reports and how to prepare and provide presentations.

I have also improved my grammar and have learned how to do referencing as well. So, I suggest people to do this course because it will help them much for future university courses."
