Charles Darwin University's Language and Literacy Division of VET aims to support learners on their personal educational pathways. Teams teach learners who have just arrived in Australia, in the AMEP; learners who are wishing to access reading, writing, speaking and numeracy skills in order to return to formal study, or for their own goals.
These programs comprise Access classes and the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (LLNP). The Language and Literacy Division offer courses and support across the Northern Territory, and also offers IELTS testing to clients in Darwin and in Alice Springs.
Lindee Conway is the NT manager of the division. She has a long history of teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), and literacy and numeracy to adults who have had limited access to formal education.
