The Adult Migrant English Program provides English courses in Darwin, Palmerston and regional areas of the Northern Territory. At Casuarina campus, students enjoy the benefits of the library, computer and language laboratory, and after-class study facilities.
The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is funded by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Course information
Course places are free for newly-arrived migrants or refugees who are eligible under Department of Immigration and Citizenship guidelines.
- Course in Preliminary Spoken and Written English (91418NSW) - A course to develop beginner literacy skills.
- Certificate I in Spoken and Written English (91421NSW) - Beginners certificate course to develop general spoken and written English. Full-time and part-time courses.
- Certificate II in Spoken and Written English (91422NSW) - Post-beginners certificate course to develop general spoken and written English. Full-time and part-time courses.
- Certificate III in Spoken and Written English (91423NSW) - Intermediate certificate course to develop spoken and written English for study, job seeking, workplace and social English. Full-time and part-time courses.
Independent Learning Centre
From beginner to intermediate levels. Self-access centre under supervision for general language study in speaking, writing, reading and listening. Includes assisted access to computers.

When: Monday to Friday, 12.30pm -1.30pm
Distance Learning Program

Home Tutor Scheme
Students are matched with trained home tutors. Coordinated from CDU's Casuarina campus. For eligible clients only.
Where: In your own home or a place to be arranged.
Document translation service
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) provides a free translation service to migrants settling permanently in Australia. Documents approved for translation include drivers' licences, identity documents and educational documents.
