Vocational Education and Training Student Guide 2012

Welcome to CDU

Charles Darwin University (CDU) is the Northern Territory’s own university and delivers training and education to more than 22,000 students. People come from throughout the Territory, all states of Australia and overseas to study at one of CDU’s eight campuses and centres.
Most CDU students study Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses that qualify them to work in a wide range of jobs. At CDU, VET courses also provide many pathways to Higher Education study.
Our VET courses will help you to develop a range of work skills that are in demand in the current marketplace. No matter who you are or where you are in your life, CDU can help to change your world.
This guide provides the information you will need to become a CDU student, including information on enrolment processes.
It will help you to access the services that we provide to students.

The VET program delivery is flexible and varies according to client demand. Students are encouraged to refer to the university’s website at www.cdu.edu.au/courses for the most up-to-date list of courses. Not all courses are available to secondary school students through VET in Schools programs. Where a course or individual unit of competency is offered as a VET in Schools program, the relevant details are specified in the course information on the website listed above.
