Automotive, Maritime and Driver Education (Top End)
The Automotive, Maritime and Driver Education (Top End) team deliver the skills necessary for you to gain a nationally recognised trade qualification for employment as an automotive mechanic/technician repairing cars, trucks, buses, mining equipment and/or earth moving equipment.
The team can deliver the following:
- Training to enable you to gain other nationally recognised qualification to be a spray painter, panel beater or auto electrical
- Training at the Casuarina campus and in regional and remote centres and communities
- Training to high school students who are participating in a Vocational Education Training in Schools (VETiS)
- Training to students in pre-employment programs at the Certificate I in Automotive level.
These programs improve the student’s skills and employment opportunities to gain employment as an apprentice into all areas of the Automotive Industry.
Additionally the team delivers training in regional and remote communities to allow communities to repair and maintain their vehicles and generate employment opportunities.

- Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations)
- Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintainance)
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision
