Welcome to the Bininj Kunwok online learning project.
This is a research project investigating ways in which Indigenous authorities can share their language and culture online on their own terms.
This pilot course is now complete. The resources are still available on this site.
Unit 1 is available to everyone, and you can log in to see the other units.
Select Course Content from the menu above to access the materials or log in.
As of December 2016, the course is no longer actively monitored. Activities will not be reviewed, and the forum will not be monitored.
This site will undergo modification in the coming months (2017) as the project is reviewed.
You can read more about the overall project here.
The trial language course was available from September to November 2016, with participants asked to give feedback about the course and their experience. All the details for participants are in the Plain Language Statement.
There course involves a series of four Lessons, each covering various aspects of the language, with some tasks to complete.
The research team would like to acknowledge the support and input of Bininj authorities from Gunbalanya, Jabiru and Darwin.
