Partners include policy, scientists, regional bodies, pastoralists and traditional owners developing and implementing an adaptive community implementation and management cycles, working with local enterprise and moving to sustainable structures.
Research undertaken includes

- Testing models for government intervention to support the development and facilitation of learning communities across NRM knowledge systems; the challenge of supporting informal structures with formal policy.
- Moving from fragility to sustainability in partnership: examining processes in maintaining NRM regional and remote partnerships in complex contexts.
The program is developed through high quality, participatory research, theoretical development and publication by skilled researchers in partnership with NRM specialists. The team disseminate their findings through a series of seminars, conference presentations and publications.
