Who we are
SPiL’s research is informed by cooperation with internal and external partners. There are strategic connections to key areas in the negotiation and delivery of VET initiatives in order to trial models, undertake strategic projects to evaluate and develop best practice models and disseminate findings. These partnerships include, within Charles Darwin University, the Institute of Advanced Studies, the Community and Access Portfolio, VET Directorate, Academic Quality and Planning Group, Teaching and Learning Development Group and the VET management team. These partnerships allow SPiL to identify and collaborate on projects that analyse and improve regional and remote delivery, community engagement and professional learning. Furthermore, external links with industry, leading researchers, funding bodies and professional associations provide opportunities to engage in key strategic directions nationally and collaborate to identify and understand potential case studies. External partners include those with expertise in the health and natural resource management fields who are interested in exploring partnerships within their field.
