Ms Karrina Betschart
Karrina Betschart is the coordinator, Pathways, and secondary schools liaison lecturer within the Community and Access team. She is located at Charles Darwin University's Alice Springs campus and works closely with the CDU senior VET adviser, secondary schools relations and profile management, RemoteLink, the Indigenous Academic Support Unit and CDU's school segments and events.
Karrina’s role is to:
- Broker relationships between schools situated in the Central Australia and Barkly regions, and the University through the Letters of Intent partnership
- Support the staff of the University and schools/community education centres to ensure the right people are connected to answer or assist with any secondary school queries or requests
- Support the CDU senior VET adviser and RemoteLink with school/community education centres with VET in school enquiries
- Support the Indigenous Academic Support Unit in creating pathways for secondary school students making the transition into tertiary education
- Assist the CDU senior VET adviser, school teachers and lecturers with vocational education and training in schools (VETiS) activities
- Assist with secondary school-related VET/higher education events, programs and enhanced learning activities
- Promote, support to access or develop enhanced learning opportunities for all secondary school staff and students interested in proceeding through study pathways including tertiary study.
Karrina's role as the coordinator, Pathways, includes:
- Mapping seamless study pathways across the University
- Developing, implementing and reviewing pathways from secondary education, VET and higher education programs.

Trisha Kohlweg is the secondary schools liaison lecturer within the Community and Access team. She is located at Charles Darwin University's Casuarina campus and works closely with the CDU senior VET adviser, secondary schools relations and profile management, the Indigenous Academic Support Unit and CDU's school segments and events.
Trisha’s role is to:
- Broker relationships between secondary schools situated in Darwin city, the northern suburbs, Palmerston, Darwin rural, Arnhem and Rivers regions and the University, through the Letters of Intent with the University
- Support CDU staff and schools/community education centres to ensure the right people are connected to answer or assist with any secondary school queries or requests
- Support the CDU senior VET adviser and RemoteLink with school/community education centres with VET in school enquiries
- Support the Indigenous Academic Support Unit in creating pathways for secondary school students making the transition into tertiary education
