About Corporate Communications
Overview
The Corporate Communications team plans, develops and implements the corporate communication functions of Charles Darwin University. These include internal and external communications, corporate brand management, student recruitment marketing, advertising and events, faculty and course promotion, publications and web management, strategic public relations, sponsorship and media management.
Role and function
Corporate Communications is responsible for tailoring the University’s message to a variety of audiences ― government, corporate, consumer and community ― and determining the most effective mechanisms by which to distribute this message, for example, website, newsletter, brochure, publication, advertisement, media release, poster, direct mail, etc.
The team works closely with members of University management as well as school and division heads including Corporate Services, Student Services and the International Office, to ensure activities in the domestic and international sectors are supported by targeted and effective communication plans consistent with University goals.
Corporate Communications provides public relations and marketing support to internal clients on key University events, including the Charles Darwin Symposia Series (May and September), the Guitar Festival (biannual event in July), and the Garma Festival (August).
