School leaver bonus points scheme

Charles Darwin University offers bonus points to students who have completed studies in a high school in the Northern Territory OR a selected rural area as listed below.

The bonus points are added to the university aggregate and the Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) will be adjusted accordingly and used for selection to courses at the University.

Students do not need to apply to be considered for bonus points as the points are automatically added to the scores of eligible applicants through the SATAC process.

Consideration of NT school leavers

A school leaver who applies and who completes studies at a high school in the Northern Territory OR at a high school in a rural area that borders on the Northern Territory and:

  • Gains a TER of 80 (or equivalent) is guaranteed an offer of a place in a course a Charles Darwin University through the SATAC process. This does not apply to feeder courses e.g. Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (feeder course).

  • Gains a TER of less than 60 (or equivalent) will be contacted by Admissions.
