School of Creative Arts and Humanities
Studying Creative Arts (Visual Arts and Music), Humanities (History, Politics, Languages), Design, Architecture, New Media or Communications at Charles Darwin University offers opportunities in a combination that you won't easily find at any other university in Australia or, indeed, in the world; you can also study a second language (Mandarin, Greek or Indonesian) at the same time!
Charles Darwin University has campuses in the Central Australian desert and the tropical Top End, and, because of our location, we bring together a unique combination of teaching, research and study opportunities in central and northern Australia.
The Darwin campus sits astride the frontier between Australia and Southeast Asia, so the School of Creative Arts is expanding its teaching and research on the peoples and cultures in the region to our immediate north.
Our courses draw on our understanding of the rich local cultures of the Territory's Indigenous communities in the Centre and the Top End. And, we deliver Vocational Education Training (VET) visual art and music programs in remote communities as well as in Darwin and Alice Springs.
