Internet disruption between Australia and Asia

September 1, 2017

We wish to inform you that fibre breaks, on two international network links between Australia and Singapore, have disrupted Internet traffic between Australia and Asia.

At this stage, all traffic between Australia and Asia is being rerouted over the Sydney-USA links, which may result in longer load times and possible timeout errors when accessing websites in Asia.

This issue is affecting all of Australia and not just our students and staff at CDU. It is expected the issue will be fixed in approximately 3 weeks and we will advise when service returns to normal.
