Ensembles

CYM ensembleAll students taking individual tuition on an instrument through the CYM are strongly encouraged to participate in the ensemble program to extend their competencies in the areas of musicianship, conceptual understandings and aesthetic awareness, and to move from the isolation of individual practice into the sociable environment of group music making.

The ensemble program is also open to students not taking tuition at the CYM however they must have previously undertaken some kind of tuition with the instrument.

All ensembles perform in concerts at the end of each semester.
