Welcome
Dr Peter Wignell
Head of School
The Centre for Access & ESL was established in July 2000. The Centre's primary role is to deliver academic programs that facilitate access to further study. It will
- maintain a visible focus externally and internally on access and ESL programs and
- maintain a body of expertise in the area of access and ESL.
The programs of the Centre aim to give students the skills, literacy and confidence to progress within the education system and/or the job market in general or to settle in the NT community. There is a strong emphasis on providing students with a supportive environment in order that the significant transition many of them are making into the world of education is successful.
