Bachelor of Children's Services

About the course

This course builds on the Diploma of Children's Services qualification and aims to provide students with knowledge and skills for reflective professional practice and institutional leadership. Students will build a capacity to make informed choices about early childhood theory, curriculum, pedagogy, policy and practice; to articulate, incorporate and advocate for equity values and social justice principles in professional practice; and to identify ways that gender, culture, ability and context impact on children┐s services practice with children, families and community.

The Bachelor of Children's Services can be studied part-time or on a full-time basis. This course shares a suite of units with the Bachelor of Teaching and Learning and all units are offered in both internal and external mode. Some units are available in Summer Semester. This flexibility may assist students to plan a schedule of study which suits their individual needs, and essentially provides a means to fast track even with a part time load.

This course requires a high level of on-line work especially for external students.
