Child playingRecognition of Prior Learning/Recognition of Current Competency (RPL/RCC)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL/RCC) is an assessment process. The process assists you to have industry related skills and knowledge recognised. These skills can be from other courses, from life experience, from work experience or from any training provided at work.

The CDU is prepared to consider all forms of prior learning in assessing credit towards any of its courses for applicants of skills recognition, and is willing to take account of:

Teacher an child(a) courses studied at other Universities, VTE colleges and schools
(b) courses provided by professional bodies
(c) courses provided by industry
(d) courses provided by registered private providers
(e) learning from work or other forms of practical experience
(f) learning from life experiences

Community Services staff have a range of assessment support materials to assist you in collecting evidence to present for RPL/RCC. There is a charge in VTE for RPL/RCC. Check with your course Coordinator.
