DisAbility WorkPrograms OfferedCertificate III in Disability Work This course meets the needs of students seeking entry-level training in Disability Services and for workers in the disability sector who are seeking a formal qualification. It provides training for a challenging career working with people who have a disability, span all ages, in a number of settings, including: accommodation, leisure and recreation, employment and education. Qualifications can be attained through day and evening classroom learning; RPL, recognition of prior learning; Recognition of current competency; external or distance learning; full or partime. Participants undertake training to plan activities and provide appropriate support to people with disabilities to assist them to achieve their individual goals. The course helps you to develop values and attitudes required by professional support workers to ensure quality of life outcomes for clients. Workers who have this qualification are recognised as a Level 3 worker in the industry. They may work in the community and/or residential facilities under direct or regular supervision working within clearly defined organisational guidelines and service plans.
