About LRG

The Learning Research Group (LRG) engages in research and consultancies with a focus on learning across the life span. The LRG perceives learning as a dynamic and contextualised process. It is a perspective underpinned by contemporary and emerging theory related to socio-cultural change made functional through such notions as learning communities and communities of practice. It has as its base the twin inter-related themes of:

• learning process as a scholarly research field as found in formal, non-formal or informal settings, and
  
• learning as it occurs within physical and virtual communities of practice.
