Research

Staff and postgraduate students in EHS are actively engaged in a number of research groups. These groups are divided generally by school and more specifically by research focus. The school divisions are as follows:

Individual researcher profiles and research groups are then included within these divisions.

Within the School of Education, a wide range of research is currently underway, with a specific emphasis being placed on the difficulties related to rurality and/or remoteness, as well as the complexities of educational delivery and access. The Social Partnerships in Learning (SPiL) includes the Plone Research Content Management system that allows users to browse the site using keywords.

Research areas within the School of Health Sciences include health, welfare, social work, and psychology, and researchers from this school have collaborative links with the Menzies School of Health Research, The Institute of Advanced Studies and the Graduate School of Health Practice.

The School of Environmental and Life Sciences research site features individual staff profiles and discipline areas. You can also learn about the research being undertaken by groups within the school, including the Tropical Environmental Disturbance and Stress group, the Tropical Spatial Science Group, and the Environmental Analytical Chemistry Unit.

Finally, the School of Engineering and Information Technology conducts fascinating research in the areas of Atomic Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Condensed Matter Physics, Mechatronics, Wireless Technologies, and Water Engineering.
