
Charles Darwin University and Flinders University are collaborating to bring a full medical degree program to the Northern Territory.
Starting in 2011, CDU's Bachelor of Clinical Sciences provides a two-year pathway into Flinders University's Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. This four-year medical degree will be Northern Territory-based from 2013.
There are 12 places available in the Bachelor of Clinical Science. The degree is open to school leavers or applicants with less than 12 months university study with five places available for NT residents and two places for Indigenous students.
Applicants need to sit the Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admissions Test (UMAT) and achieve an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 90. Students from NT schools will receive up to six point bonus.
Students who do not gain a place in the Bachelor of Clinical Sciences can apply through the postgraduate entry pathway to Flinders' University Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Applicants need to:
