This site describes research undertaken by staff and students at Charles Darwin University on mangrove biology and ecology.

Mangrove communities cover approximately 4,120 square kilometres of the coast and rivers of the Northern Territory, which comprises approximately 35 per cent of the total mangrove area of Australia.

Nearly 50 species are present, making these forests amongst the most diverse anywhere.
