The School of Environmental and Life Sciences, within the Faculty of Education, Health and Science is responsible for teaching and research in these disciplines. This includes ecology and environmental management; remote sensing and geographic information systems; ecophysiology; biochemistry, molecular and cell biology; aquatic biology and aquaculture; botany and zoology.
Tropical environmental science is considered a research and teaching strength in the Faculty. Academics in this field have gained recognition internationally for their contributions to this discipline.
