The Faculty of Engineering, Health, Science and the Environment offer a number of research opportunities for higher degree by research students. Our HDR students are involved in ground-breaking research in a range of exciting disciplines:

Through higher degree by research study, postgraduate students produce significant and original research outcomes culminating into a thesis, that is examined by expert examiners of international standing.

HDR students are supervised and guided through their projects by academic experts within our four schools. Depending on a student’s research interest, they are aligned with an expert who can offer support and guidance throughout their HDR journey.

School of Environment

The School of Environment's research supervisors, can supervise research projects in areas such as bushfires, wildlife conservation, livelihoods and coastal processes.

School of Health

The School of Health's research supervisors, can supervise research projects in areas such as cultural development, policy, nursing, mental health, disaster management and indigenous research.

School of Psychological and Clinical Science

The School of Psychological and Clinical Science's research supervisors, can supervise research projects in areas such as psychology, mental health and disease management.

School of Engineering and IT

The School of Engineering and IT's research supervisors, can supervise research projects in areas such as oil and gas, electronics, mechatronics and water engineering.
