Faculty of Engineering, Health, Science and the Environment Prize Giving Ceremony

The Faculty of Engineering, Health, Science and the Environment (EHSE) hosts a prize giving ceremony once a year at the end of Semester 1.

The ceremony recognises the outstanding performance of the Faculty’s students in their academic programs in the previous calendar year.

Some of our prizes have been established in honour of a valued staff member, student, professional or alumni, while others have been created by local and national businesses and organisations to encourage students in particular fields of study. All prizes are valued by the Faculty by the recipients as a statement of support for its students.

We welcome students and staff, alumni, prize sponsors and other community partners to celebrate our students’ scholarly success with us.

Sponsors

The prize giving ceremony would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Sponsorship of academic prizes is a powerful mechanism for promoting the careers of high achieving students and recognising the strong ties between the University, industry, the community and professional groups.

We recognise sponsor support by:

  • placing sponsor logos on this Prize Giving website
  • recognising sponsors in our Prize Giving program
  • inviting sponsors to present their prize to the winning student at the ceremony
  • forwarding sponsor details to CDU External Relations for complimentary CDU Foundation Membership (where prizes are over $200).
    Foundation Membership includes:
      • Complimentary Origins and eNews subscriptions
      • Invitations to CDU events supported by the Foundation
      • Inclusion on CDU supporter honour rolls and publications
  • For the highest levels of support, the University reserves naming honours such as Professorial Chair, Buildings and Venues.
