Something sweet for student volunteers

The countless hours that students spend volunteering have been acknowledged by Charles Darwin University staff during National Student Volunteer Week.

CDU’s Events team held a cupcake stall at Casuarina campus on Friday to reward students for their volunteering efforts. At the stall, Careers and Employment staff provided information to other students about volunteering opportunities.

More than 50 students are currently volunteering as CDU Student Ambassadors at Casuarina campus.

To mark the week, the Aspire Program created a video of senior secondary Aspire scholarship students from across the Northern Territory volunteering in their local communities.

Aspire is a partnership between CDU and NT secondary schools and helps students from diverse backgrounds to achieve in high school and aspire to take up tertiary study.
