Long service awards for staff

By Richie Hodgson

Long-serving members of staff at Charles Darwin University have been recognised at a special ceremony.

The achievements of more than 250 members of staff who have served at the university and its predecessor institutions for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 plus years were celebrated at a recent event on Casuarina campus.

CDU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Barney Glover said the university was committed to ensuring that the contributions of staff members to CDU’s activities over a long period of time were recognised and recorded.

The ceremony also recognised the outstanding efforts of staff over the past calendar year with the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Exceptional Performance.

Awards were presented to academic, research and general staff for exceptional performance exceeding the normal requirements of their position and advancing the university’s strategic goals.
