Associate Degree of Engineering

Charles Darwin University's Associate Degree in Engineering has been developed in close collaboration with industry and government to meet the demand of industry of Northern Australia, as well as the South East Asian region.

Graduates of this course will be able to work as paraprofessionals in the engineering field, or else continue their study to become a professional engineer. The course includes specialisations in chemical engineering, civil and structural engineering, electrical and electronics engineering and mechanical engineering. Emphasis is placed on learning through project work with students being exposed to engineering practice through guest lectures by practising engineers and site visits.

Upon completion, students may apply for entry into the Bachelor of Engineering Science or Bachelor of Engineering Honours and receive credit transfer for units completed in this Associate Degree.

The course is offered in on-campus mode as well as through distance learning supplemented with on-campus residential activity.
