Bachelor of Engineering Science

This course includes specialisations in chemical engineering, civil and structural engineering, electrical and electronics engineering and mechanical engineering. Emphasis is placed on learning through project work with students being exposed to engineering practice through guest lectures by practising engineers, site visits and work experience.

This course is the first component of a two part Engineers Australia and EUR-ACE® accredited pathway consisting of the Bachelor of Engineering Science to be followed by the Master of Engineering.

Graduates completing both the Bachelor of Engineering Science and the Master of Engineering in Civil and Structural, Electrical and Electronics and Mechanical engineering streams are eligible to apply for membership of Engineers Australia at the level of Professional Engineer.

The Chemical engineering stream of this pathway is designed to meet the requirements for accreditation by Engineers Australia at the level of professional engineer and accreditation is currently being sought. Accreditation of any new engineering specialisation occurs in the first year it is offered.
