These rules apply to those forms of examining which occur during a central examination period and are consistent with the University Assessment Rules.

Exam location and invigilation

Internal Students
Internal students in Darwin or Alice Springs are expected to sit the exam at the main campus.
External Students
Depending on your location, there are a range of options for sitting exams externally within 80 km. of Darwin or Alice Springs.
Other Students
All other students should refer to the external examination page.

Mid-semester exams

Many units in the School of Engineering and Information Technology have a mid-semester test. Refer to your Unit Information on Learnline to find out if you have a mid semester test and the time this is set.

Internal Students
Internal students in Darwin or Alice Springs are expected to sit the mid-semester exam at the main campus.
External Students
If you live within 80km of our Casuarina or Alice Springs campus, you will have to sit this test on campus together with the internal students.
If you live in other locations, you will need to find a suitable invigilator for the mid semester test – this should be done as quickly as possible, and certainly before the end of March

Invigilation details

If you need to organise an invigilator for your mid semester test, the following information is required:

  • Note your invigilator cannot be a relative or someone you live with
  • Name of Invigilator
  • Occupation
  • Email address
  • Daytime phone number
  • Fax number

Your exam will be emailed to your invigilator just before the time of the exam.
