Welcome
The 9th International Conference on Excitonic and Photonic Processes in Condensed and Nano Materials, EXCON'10, will be held in Brisbane, Australia, from Sunday, July 11 to Friday, July 16, 2010.
EXCON'10 is part of a series of conferences held every two years. The previous eight conferences have been held in Darwin, Australia (1994), Kurort Gohrisch, Germany (1996), Boston, USA (1998), Osaka, Japan (2000), Darwin, Australia (2002), Cracow, Poland (2004), Winston-Salem, USA (2006) and Kyoto, Japan (2008).
Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland, known as the 'sunshine state' of Australia. The city has an international airport and is easily accessible from all parts of the world. Brisbane is close to the famous Gold Coast and Great Barrier Reef.
Scope of the Conference
In view of the diversity of papers presented at EXCON’08 the International Advisory Committee decided to extend the full title of EXCON conferences from “International Conference on Excitonic Processes in Condensed Matter” to “International Conference on Excitonic and Photonic Processes in Condensed and Nano Materials”. And following the tradition of EXCON series, EXCON'10 will also maintain its focus on both experimental and theoretical topics on current research in excitonic and photonic processes in nanostructure, organic and inorganic condensed materials.
EXCON'10 is expected to provide an interdisciplinary forum for materials scientists, photo-physicists, photo-chemists and industry researchers to discuss novel and new results in their fields of research.
Presentations will be in oral, oral poster and traditional poster forms, with some plenary and invited talks. Some of the contributed papers may also be selected for invited papers.
