Classroom Equipment
Most classrooms are fitted with Blue or Creme lecterns. The operating instructions for the lecterns are attached to the lectern or can be downloaded here.

DVD player
Most classrooms with a CPU will have a DVD player installed in the CPU.
Speakers for the CPU are not provided in classrooms, however speakers can be provided for individual classes by booking through Facilities.
Workshops/Orientation
Facilities offer group and individual workshops in equipment usage prior to the start of semester.
For dates and times of goup workshops or to arrange and individual workshop, please contact our Help Desk on 6500.
Facilities hire
Charles Darwin University seeks to maximise the utilisation of its assets. This is achieved by the hiring out of teaching and other space, furniture and equipment to staff, students and the general community at times when the facilities are not required for core business.
For hiring of university facilities to external bodies please complete the following forms:
Student Square
Finance and Asset Services are pleased to announce the availability of Student Square for use by staff and students. A permanent electric BBQ and utensils is available for use as per the instructions below.
BBQ conditions of use
Weekdays
Electric BBQ available 11.30 am to 2.30pm for use by staff and students. BBQ utensils are provided.
After hours and on weekends
Facility may be booked by contacting 08 8946 6500 or email facilities@cdu.edu.au. A key deposit of $50 is required.
General usage
The master switch for the lights and BBQ is located in the canteen. All users of this facility are expected to leave cooking facilities clean and tidy. Please ensure the BBQ is turned off after use and return the key to FAS to obtain refund of your deposit.
External bodies wishing to hire this facility can make a booking by contacting 08 8946 6500 or email facilities@cdu.edu.au.

Used furniture
Facilities has some used furniture which is available for use within the University. Should you be interested in obtaining this furniture for your section, please contact our Senior Facilities Officer on 08 8946 7250.
