Membership
While the University receives funding from both the Commonwealth and Northern Territory Governments
for essential recurrent and capital costs, the Foundation was established to generate the extra funds needed
for investment in a wide variety of programs, projects and infrastructure. Donations from individuals and
organisations support, for example:
- scholarships and prizes
- research fellowships
- teaching and learning resources, including the library
- the University Art Collection
Both individuals and organisations are invited to apply for membership of the Charles Darwin University Foundation.
- Individuals make a gift to the value of $200 or more per year
- Organisations make a gift to the value of $800 or more per year
Acknowledgment of Donors
The support provided by donors can be acknowledged in a variety of ways, such as:
- naming rights to a nominated project , which will be granted to significant donors;
- acknowledgment in appropriate University publications; and
- invitations to major University functions, especially those in which donors may have a particular interest.
