Activate your computer account and email
Your student computer account is the username and password you use to gain access to various information services provided by CDU, including accessing:
- Computer lab PCs
- Internet from PC labs or library
- Your student email account
- Learnline
- Library databases
- My student info, your online student information
To activate your computer account, visit My Computer Account, click on 'activate my computer account', and enter the required details.

Get your student card
Your student card provides access to CDU facilities such as the library, after-hours computer labs, some discounts at the University Bookshop and other discounts where notified by the business.

Organise your parking permit or public transport route
Parking permits
Free parking, parking permits and display parking are available at CDU's Casuarina and Palmerston campuses. Parking at other campuses and centres is free.
Parking permits are available for a semester or full-year and cost $55 per semester or $110 per calendar year - numbers are limited so please, purchase early.
Parking permits can be purchased from the cashiers at Casuarina campus Information Centre, Orange 1, or Palmerston campus cashiers.
Please note: Permits do not guarantee a parking bay close to the building of your choice.

Public transport
There are regular bus routes that cover Darwin, Palmerston and Alice Springs.
The bus stop at CDU's Casuarina campus is located in front of the Information Centre. The number four bus stops at the University on-route to Casuarina Shopping Square or the city. Fare discounts are given to students when they show their CDU student card.
A major bus interchange is located at Casuarina Shopping Square. You can obtain bus timetables and maps there, as well as transfer to buses travelling to Darwin suburbs and to Palmerston.

Purchase prescribed text books and readings
You can purchase your text books from the CDU bookshop prior to your first day of classes. The CDU website will tell you which books you need once you enter your unit code.
You can also check whether any of your texts are available second-hand through the CDU Bookshop's buy-back scheme.

Familiarise yourself with library services and support
CDU Library has services to support students studying on campus or externally. Find out more on the New Student Library guide.
CDU libraries are located on Alice Springs, Casuarina and Palmerston campuses.
Stay safe on campus
Casuarina campus
CDU's Casuarina campus uses the UNI-SAFE program, which alerts students, staff and visitors of personal safety issues.
Under the UNI-SAFE program, security officers are available to escort students after-hours between buildings, campus car parks and local public transport points. To arrange for this service freecall security on 1800 646 501.
A number of Casuarina campus buildings also have direct security access phones easily identifiable by large red and white signage. Simply lift the handset and the phone will automatically contact security. If you do not think a security escort is necessary, there are 'corridors of light' walkways strategically placed around the campus which run from all main buildings to car parks.
