Composition of the Charles Darwin University Academic Board
The Academic Board is the University’s senior academic advisory body. Its members include senior University officers, Pro Vice-Chancellors, elected academic members and elected student members. The Board provides advice to the Council or Vice-Chancellor on matters relating to learning, teaching, assessment, research and research training together with the assurance and enhancement of academic quality and standards of all University programs and awards.
The Board consists of:

- Pro Vice-Chancellor, Engineering, Health, Science and the Environment (ex-officio)
- Pro Vice-Chancellor of Indigenous Leadership (ex-officio)
- Pro Vice-Chancellor, Law, Education, Business and Arts (ex-officio)
- Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research and Research Training (ex-officio)
- Pro Vice-Chancellor, Strategy and Planning (ex-officio)
- Pro Vice-Chancellor, Vocational Education and Training (ex-officio)
- Executive Director, Corporate Services (ex-officio)
- Three members elected by and from the Heads of Schools; one from each Faculty (elected)
- Nine members elected by and from the academic staff; three from each Faculty (elected)
- One VET student elected by and from the VET students (elected)
- One undergraduate higher education student elected by and from the undergraduate higher education students (elected)
- One postgraduate higher education student elected by and from the postgraduate higher education students (elected)
