Composition of Charles Darwin University Council
The Council consists of:
- Chancellor
- Vice-Chancellor
- Chairperson of the Academic Board
- Eight persons appointed by the Administrator
- One person elected by and from the full-time higher education academic staff of the University
- One person elected by and from the full-time VET academic staff of the University
- One person elected by and from the undergraduate students of the University
- One person elected by and from the postgraduate students of the University
In accordance with the Charles Darwin University Act 2003, a member of Council must act solely in the interests of the university and not as a delegate or representative of a particular constituency when exercising a power or performing a function of office.
