Mrs Jo'Anne Kinter
Senior VET advisor, Academic Quality and Planning unit
Mrs Jo’Anne Kinter is a senior vocational education and training (VET) advisor with extensive experience in the VET sector. Prior to this she held the position of quality officer in Charles Darwin University's Academic Quality and Planning unit.
In 1978, after completing an apprenticeship in hairdressing and managing her own salon, she commenced as a lecturer in hairdressing at the Darwin Community College. She left CDU for three years in 1994 to work with her husband as manager of the Katherine Town Council Swimming Pool and on her return to the University coordinated hairdressing apprenticeship training, VET in Schools programs, and implemented the first beauty therapy course at CDU. Mrs Kinter has also been VET Leader, Tourism and Hospitality, and Head of School, Workplace and Initial Training.
More recently she has worked with the VET team in the office of AQPVET and has been responsible for Scope of Registration and actively involved with the implementation and professional development of staff in AQTF 2007.
Mrs Kinter has completed a Diploma of Teaching TAFE, Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment, Certificate III in Hairdressing and Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy.
