Professor Graham Pegg

Professor Graham Pegg was appointed Dean of Charles Darwin University's Faculty of Education, Health and Science in March 2007. Prior to commencing with the University he was Head of the School of Chemical and Biomedical Sciences at Central Queensland University, Rockhampton where he was also program director for biomedical sciences for students both in Australia and Singapore.
He has held various positions including research centre director, associate dean (research), and advanced instrumentation laboratory manager.
Professor Pegg's varied research interests have included synthetic chemistry, drug design and development, vaccine development, toxicology, pharmacology and molecular genetics. He has more than 20 years experience in distance science education and learning resource development.
Professor Pegg's original training was in chemistry and biochemistry for which he holds a first class BSc honours degree and a PhD from James Cook University.
